Frank Shelton

God is the Famous One. Frank Shelton, Jr got a “D” in public speaking, cut from the fourth grade choir and so slow it takes him two hours to watch “60 Minutes” but the one thing he “gets” is that the world is dead, doomed and damned without a personal relationship with Jesus, The Christ. For over 30 years, Frank has done his best to love God, love others and point people far from God to a personal relationship with Jesus.  Since childhood, he wanted to do three things with his life: Politics, Protect the President or Preach the Gospel. By his 34th birthday, Frank pursued all three vocations. Today, Frank travels the Globe with one goal – see souls saved. He’s an evangelist and encourager sharing HUMOR, celebrity impressions and powerful parables that exalt Christ and encourage Christians. Frank is real, his message relevant and recognizes that the world needs Christ. Frank is an author and international speaker who partners with churches and clergy to build “unity in the community” helping folks find freedom in faith in Christ. It’s a travesty to present Christ as boring and Frank Shelton is anything but boring!

He accepted Christ as Savior at age seven (1979) and had such a burden for “lost” friends that he brought 22 kids to Vacation Bible School in 1982 (age 10). He was tapped President of Student Government in middle school, played basketball and crowned “Prom King” in a public high school, President of Student Christian Fellowship at the community college and was named 1999 Distinguished Alumni from Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina and attended the Billy Graham School of Evangelism in Monterey, CA. Frank has a passion for students, singles and perfect for Sunday services. He is the founder of Celebrate Jesus! Crusades and his radio show “FRANKLY SPEAKING” airs on American Family Radio. He was tapped in July 2010, to be International Evangelism Director for Olympics 2012, “Bridge the Gap” in London, England. He’s a featured artist/speaker with Compassion International and he serves on Advisory Board of PRAISEFEST MINISTRIES along with Josh McDowell and invited to speak on all four of their cruises to Bahamas and Jamaica. Frank is also a featured artist with UPWARD and his powerful messages and humble personality make him an event planners delight. In 2001, he was tapped VP of National Christian Youth Speakers Network and speaks 200 times per year at various venues (ranging from Six Flags America, minor league ballparks for Faith Day, DNOW, concerts & churches). God truly uses the broken to bless others and the “foolish to confound the wise.” Frank worked 17 years on Capitol Hill in various capacities (appointed floor staff of the United States Senate as a bi-partisan figure working for all 100 US Senators on a daily basis, speechwriter to House Majority Leader of Congress, aide to the Governor of Maryland, worked four years at the Republican National Committee and volunteered in the Presidential Correspondence Office of both the Clinton & Bush White House, respectively) while cris-crossing the Country as a bi-vocational minister. Frank walked away from the pay, prestige and power of Capitol Hill, “by faith” to do the work of an evangelist. Three decades later, after bringing 22 friends to church; he’s been invited to preach in 15 countries & 31 states and shared the stage with some of the most respected names in Christianity. God gets the glory but Frank exalts the “Greatest Name of all” – JESUS. Ideal for adults & teens and he served as a youth pastor, Minister of Evangelism, senior pastor but his calling is “doing the work of an evangelist.” Frank has appeared on radio, billboards, newspaper and world-wide television sharing Hope, HUMOR and Heaven on Earth. In closing, Frank’s ancestor was the first of five generation Washington DC police officers in the Shelton Family. His great-great-great grandfather Joseph William Shelton was on duty “Good Friday” 1865, the very evening President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated. He was noted in two DC papers to have carried President Lincoln across the street the night he died. His family friend was an honorary pallbearer at Elvis Presley’s funeral in 1977. Frank loves Joseph of Arimathea and reminded daily that we don’t just carry “The King of a Nation” or “The King of Rock n Roll” but we carry “The King of all kings” by our life and lips as born again believers. It is one thing to carry greatness but ETERNALLY different when “Greatness” (God) carries you! Frank loves sweet tea, Cracker-Barrel and southern hospitality. He is married to the love of his life, Ruth (daughter of a preacher) and they help raise two precious children: Hannah Grace & Andrew Lincoln in Southern Maryland.
